Looted art to be auctioned

Nearly 120 pieces of art looted by the Nazis and recovered by the Monuments Men will be auctioned by Sotheby’s New York, from 14th of September 2021. The pieces were once part of the Oppenheimer collection, but ended up in Dutch museums.

Amsterdam Rijksmuseum: “Caravaggio, Bernini, Early Baroque in Rome”

The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam recently opened what promised to be a fantastic exhibition: “Caravaggio, Bernini, Early Baroque in Rome”. Even today, Caravaggio and Bernini are famous. The first for his rowdy life and influential paintings; the latter for his fabulous and influential sculptures.

Amsterdam Rijksmuseum exhibits Dutch royal treasure

The Amsterdam Rijksmuseum announced a few hours ago, an important object will be exhibited at the museum per 11th of December 2019. It is a 17th century masterpiece created by Paul van Vianen. The priceless object was once considered to be the most valuable item, owned by the Dutch royal family.
