Events and activities

Currently working as a culture & arts contributor, culture journalist, translator and language trainer, Kate previously worked for museums, as a teacher of English and Dutch and in IT as software designer, technical specialist and team leader.

Kate occasionally organizes small-scale cultural activities including museum and exhibition visits and guided walks. After COVID lock-downs, these mainly take place in the Netherlands.

Cultural activity groups are no larger than 10 people. Some activities are free of charge, for others a small contribution may be charged. This is always clearly stated with other information regarding an activity.

Past events included:

  • Small group visits in English and Dutch to to the Mauritshuis Museum, Museum Rembrandthuis, Kunstmuseum The Hague, Rubenshouse Antwerp, Brussels’ Fin-de-Sièclr museum;
  • Guided walks in English and Dutch through historic towns including Leiden, Utrecht, Amsterdam, Gouda, The Hague, Mechelen, Brussels, Antwerp, Lier;
  • A series of monthly or weekly NT2, English, German French activities;
  • Workshops on creative writing, column writing, and related activities.
