Utrecht Early Music Festival 2019 05: Fringe concert by Alter Ego

My first fringe concert during this year’s Early Music Festival was a performance by Alter Ego. This ensemble consists of Eleonora Biscevic and Arianna Radaelli. This was apparently, the ensemble’s first performance at this festival.

Utrecht Early Music Festival 2019 04: Fabulous 4 Times Baroque

As mentioned before, like many other early music fans, I can no longer reach the Utrecht Early Music Festival’s fringe ticket boot in time. You need to visit this boot early morning, before concerts start, to obtain tickets for most free fringe concerts. This is the reason, I no longer post four or more times a day during this festival.

Utrecht Early Music Festival 2019 02: Fabulous Fringe, Laura Granero and Artem Belogurov

The first day I was able to attend Utrecht’s Early Music Festival was Saturday. Though taking place in the middle of the Netherlands, temperatures were decidedly Italian, if not utterly Neapolitan. The country’s national “heatwave emergency plan” had been set into motion and was expected to last till at least Wednesday.

The annual Utrecht Early Music Festival kicked off Friday 23rd of August. If you are in the Netherlands and lovee early music, classical music: it runs till Sunday 1st of September 2019. As usual: each festival day is full of workshops, lectures, concerts and this year’s theme is Naples.
